Glow Recipe

Glow Recipe, a startup by two entrepreneurs Christine Lang and Sarah Lee, is a vegan and cruelty free skincare line with all-natural fruit ingredients. It first took off on Instagram and caught my attention with the aesthetically pleasing bottles of Blueberry Bounce Face Wash, Pineapple Vitamin C-Bright Serum, Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist, Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer and the Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask. This kit, known as the The Glowpedia Glass Skin Kit, can be purchased for $104.

I have been using it for a month now and have seen amazing results. Can these fruit ingredients keep that glow lasting? Absolutely! Even better, these bottles are travel size and kept me glowing after a long flight, typically when skin is the most dull. These are the fruit based ingredients that are changing the skincare game.

1. Blueberry Bounce Cleanser

This gel-foam formula is gentle while still erasing makeup and hydrates your skin instead of stripping its natural oils. This cleanser combats breakouts while helping the rest of your skincare products work a lot better. It’s no surprise that this cleanser has been recognized by awards, such as the Byrdie Skincare Awards 2019 Best Cleanser for its luxurious formula. The best part of all? A 30ml bottle is travel size, and $10 worth of this little product goes a long way.

2. Pineapple Vitamin C Bright Serum Pineapple is a potent source of Vitamin C, AHA and bromelain enzymes that achieve bright, smooth and hydrated skin. The formula includes three forms of Vitamin C for maximum potency and brightening. Vitamins rich in antioxidants help fight damage and lead to pore-less “glass skin”. Aloe and chamomile calms and soothes, creating a gentle formula for sensitive skin. Hyaluronic acid plumps skin by attracting water to its surface, maintaining moisture and hydration. Antioxidant-rich Vitamin E nourishes by providing a healthy barrier for skin that creates a glowing complexion.

3. Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist comes in the Glowpedia Kit, or can purchased individually for $28. The Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist has earned its title as HollywoodLife Beauty Awards Best Face Mist of 2019. Immersing your skin into a hydrating ultra-fine mist will make your skin feel like a dreamy morning fog. This formula is packed with a blend of 84% watermelon, hyaluronic acid and hibiscus AHAs to refresh skin or enhance makeup.

4. Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer can be purchased for $39 and is targeted toward oily-combination skin. Its water-based formula is hydrating and soothing without being greasy. Hyaluronic acid works with vitamin-rich watermelon for a lasting dewy glow. Amino-rich watermelon extract hydrates, soothes and fights damage to fight fine lines, wrinkles, and dark spots. Pink Juice Moisturizer instantly quenches thirsty skin with Jasmine & Peony extract. Because this product is water-based, it is best used for dry skin as a serum, followed by a creme moisturizer.

5. Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask
can be purchased for $22. This mask has a luxuriously bouncy texture, making it a breathable sleeping mask that smooths and perfects pores. It has a pillow-proof formula while acting as a radiance boosting hyaluronic acid face mask, formulated with soothing. Amino acid rich Watermelon Extract and pore refining AHAs work while you sleep to gently exfoliate and clarify.

These steps will quickly become your go-to routine for glowing skin. Living in NYC, this air quality can get the best of our skin. So why not allow yourself to come home to a luxurious, easy facial care routine that will leave you with a radiant glow for a fraction of the price of other luxury skincare brands
