Stacey Bendet debuted her Alice + Olivia Fall/Winter 2020 collection on February 10th. The weather outside was cold and rainy but the presentation did everything to invite you in and warm you up.  Glenlivet, who sponsored the event, was serving chamomile hot toddy’s, which were a popular hit at the event.

The collection was largely inspired by the color of the interiors of her New York City apartment. There were many different scenes throughout the presentation: a luxury train cart, a red oriental room, and a garden covered in ivy. There were a couple of different moods throughout the collection which correlated to the many backdrops located around Highline Stages. Leather clad and camo wearing models were stationed in the ivy gardens, the emerald and mustard train cart housed bohemian girls wearing chunky black boots, and models dressed in oriental inspired clothing and vibrant yellow silk with crocodile embossed leather stood in the red room There was even a slinky glittery dress draped on a model laying on a velvet couch. Some of the pieces where created from up cycled fabric and environmentally safe faux leather.

Alice + Olivia have created dark romantic and bohemian collections before, and this season is no different—maybe it’s just a tad more personal to Stacey Bendet due to it being inspired by her home.
