Graham Tyler’s F/W 2020 collection was titled All The Stars Are A Riot Of Flowers and was all about how reflecting on childhood memories can be somber. “This season I’m looking at Joseph Cornell’s short film called Jack’s Dream and the idea of childhood memories as a sad thing because you could never go back to that time,” said Graham Tyler. “I’m kind of trying to recreate those childhood moments by making things that feel like playing dress up in pillows and blankets and somebody’s shirt. Things that kind of just feel very melancholy in the way we are doing them.” The white and grey quilted sweater and skirt set perfectly embody those moments when you just wanted to snuggle up in bed as a kid.

He used three scenes as inspiration: a sunset, a castle, and a sinking ship. “They all are metaphorically representative of what childhood kind of is and/or looks like,” said Tyler. In the gallery, they were seen in grey paintings, depicted on a corset, on a knee length skirt, and a grey mini dress.

The color grey was prominent in this collection, and this has come to be a staple for Graham Tyler. “Every season I stick to a Grisaille grey, black, and white pallet and this season was no different,” said Tyler.
