Bring Out the Color!

The trend from the 90s with bright colors transcended into the early 2000s with even more fashion. Women became more independent, and much more powerful. We had some iconic female bands and groups that made amazing music. This includes Destiny’s Child, The Pussy Cat Dolls, and the Spice Girls. This look was inspired by female groups that empowered women through music.

Velour!

Velour was a fabric used in everyday outfits during the early 2000s. So many celebrities really pulled this look off, including Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton.

Juicy Couture began focusing on their velour tracksuits, making them a major trend during the early 2000s—this became a part of where our inspiration came from.

Crop It Up!

Crop tops were (and still are) a must. They’re cute, they’re fun, and they’re iconic. Crop tops were worn with all sorts of legwear, some being low rise jeans and oversized sweat pants or track pants.

Crop top ideas were inspired by Jennifer Lopez, Victoria Beckham, Paris Hilton, and Christina Aguilera.

Denim BabY!

Denim was it. Our model Kailee wanted to rock out different patterns and styles of denim. She’s seen with the perfect denim bucket hat, layered with patches of dark wash denim and light wash denim. Denim is now known as “jean” because of the pants. Let’s not forget the iconic looks of denim during the 2000s, like Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake’s matching all denim dresswear.

Kailee is also wearing the symbolic butterfly necklace of the 2000s. Butterflies were the typical tattoo to get, or even designed underwear to rock, and Kailee is pictured switching it up with a gold butterfly chain.

Itty-Bitty!

Small shoulder bags are a girl’s real best friend. These adorable small purses carry everything they need—from lipgloss to a phone. Our model Chase also matches the bag with her retro-style, small-framed glasses. This puts the look together and adds a pop of color to the look.
