The inauguration of Joe Biden as President and Kamala Harris as Vice President of the United States of America made history today. Not only in politics, but also in fashion. Dr. Jill Biden and Kamala Harris gave a glimpse into what's to come for the next four years with the iconic looks they both dawned today.

First Lady Dr. Jill Biden

From the campaign trail to the White House, one thing is for certain: Dr. Jill Biden knows fashion. Dr. Biden carries a certain level of poise and grace. She’s just begun with showcasing the perfect First Lady looks. Dr. Biden's masks almost always match the color scheme and fabric of her clothing, and she has continued to do this with nearly every appearance she has made. The First Lady is showing her sense of style and repeatedly proving she has taste.

From American designer Stuart Weizman's "VOTE" boots she wore on the campaign trail to American designer Alexandra O'Neill of Markarian's dress and coat—which she wore today for the Presidential Inauguration—the First Lady is making one thing clear: she supports American designers. Dr. Biden supported not only an American brand at the inauguration, but also a women-owned small business. As First Lady, you can't ask much more from her in terms of fashion. She checks all the boxes.

Vice President Kamala Harris

Today, Madam Vice President made a statement through her clothing choices as well. She wore CFDA award-winning designer Christopher John Rogers. The matching shift dress and coat—an entirely purple ensemble—reflected the U.S. suffragettes whose colors are purple, white, and gold. It’s absolutely certain that Madam Vice President will continue to make statements through her clothing.

Earlier this month, Vice President Kamala Harris graced the covers of Vogue Magazine for their February cover. Harris was wearing her own Converse sneakers, which have now become a staple for her style. This cover and spread showcase Harris, the first-ever Black and Asian and woman Vice President as poised, playful, and full of class.

Kamala Harris has had many political and personal historical moments. Being the first woman Vice President to grace the cover of this legendary fashion magazine is only the beginning of many more unprecedented moments to come.
