Sustainable Brands to Shop This Fall

In the midst of October fall fashion is at its peak, and what better way to show your love for this season then to shop sustainably! In recent years, sustainability has become a more pressing topic, especially within the fashion industry. This fall, keeping an eye out for brands that are truly eco-friendly is more important than ever. Many brands have been hopping on the sustainability wagon so to speak, but here are five truly sustainable brands to build your fall wardrobe. Each brand has eco-friendly clothing of all kinds, but below are handpicked garments to make creating the perfect fall capsule wardrobe easier than ever.


Everlane - Cozy Sweaters

Everlane makes it known that they take pride in what they do. By sourcing ethical fabrics, animal conscious fibers, and manufacturers, their products are made to last. Not only are they chic, but they’re a timeless style. The three sweaters listed below are made from recycled cashmere or Alpaca wool.

Ética Denim not only uses recycled denim and other fabrics, but their “low impact wash process uses 90% less water, 70% less energy and only clean chemical alternatives.” Their goal is to raise the communities around them and spread their eco-friendly practices. Outerknown is “driven by a passion for responsible action, courageous change, and great clothes.” They’re fair-trade certified and have a “2030 sustainability roadmap” to keep them on track with their eco-conscious goals. Their styles are casual yet elegant: great to dress up or simply throw on before running out the door. Their skirts and dresses are made from hemp, cupro, and Tencel — a sustainable fabric made from wood pulp.

Amendi

Amendi defines the word sustainability on their website by their own terms. To their brand’s identity it means considering “the environmental non-toxic processes, recycled water, organic and recycled materials, to the social and economic: fair wages, deep partnerships with suppliers and farmers.” They show this through their use of materials by making eco-friendly changes to get the same denim wash looks and using headstock materials that would otherwise be thrown out. These timeless looks are great to be paired with a variety of styles, making it a true capsule wardrobe necessity.

Good Guys Don’t Wear Leather

Good Guys is France’s first vegan shoe company and ensures every part of their manufacturing and creation process is vegan and cruelty free. They create the interior of their shoes using corn that is 100% recycled and recyclable, while everything else is made of a material created using a 100% vegan, non-woven technology.
