Our Beauty Director's Top Beauty Picks from 2022

It has been another year full of beauty products. Products from years past have stayed and new ones were added to the mix for my extensive 2022 beauty routine.

As someone who frequently shops at Ulta, Sephora, CVS, and all other beauty retailers, I have accumulated more and more products to add to my collection.

Here are a few of my favorites from 2022 that will be making their way into my 2023 routine.

1. Caudalie Vinergentic-C instant detox mask

This Caudalie mask is amazing for clogged pores and congested skin. It brings everything to the surface and helps tighten any large pores. Overall, it has improved my skin's texture.

2. Kosas Cloud Set Baked Setting and Smoothing Powder

Kosas’ Cloud Set is among the best-pressed powders I have ever used. It is finely milled and gives your makeup a filter effect. Use this to blur any fine lines, pores, or texture you may have without looking cakey.

3. Tower 28 BeachPlease Lip + Cheek cream blush

Searching for the perfect dewy blush? Look no further. Tower 28 Lip + Cheek Cream Blush looks natural on the skin and is super buildable. It leaves the skin looking healthy and hydrated all while giving the most natural kiss of color on the cheek.

4. Milani Make It Last Setting Spray Prime + Correct + Set

The best setting spray I have found thus far is Milani Make It Last Setting Spray. I would say it’s even a dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Finish setting spray, but for a fraction of the price. There is a noticeable difference when I use this versus when I don't.

5. Kiss Falscra Lash extension kit

I will be the first to admit, I am a high-maintenance gal, hence why I am the Beauty Director. However, being high maintenance comes with a high price tag. I love having lash extensions, but they can be pricey. With Falscara by Kiss, I can do my own extensions at home in minutes and they last up to ten days.

6. Eilish Eau de Parfum by Billie Eilish

Unpopular opinion: celebrity perfumes are some of the best scents money can buy. Every time I wear this fragrance, I get constant compliments. The top notes of this fragrance are sugared petals, mandarin, and warm berries. The middle notes are creamy vanilla, soft spices, and cocoa with base notes of warm musk and tonka bean. Not only has this been my most complimented fragrance but it is also the most affordable.

7. Hero Cosmetics Force Shield Superfuel Serum Stick

This Hero Cosmetics serum stick has quickly become one of my favorite skincare products this year. Its ultra-restorative formula helps repair the skin’s microbiome without clogging pores or irritating the skin. It includes prebiotics and antioxidants to help keep your skin fresh and radiant all day long.

8. Makeup by Ariel makeup brushes by Morphe

These are the best brushes I have ever used. They are my go-to and the only ones I have used for my complexion. These Morphe brushes apply the product beautifully on the skin and give that airbrush finish with minimal effort.

9. Supergoop! Glow screen

A no-brainer. Supergoop! has been one of my favorite brands for a while now, but the Glowscreen SPF is something that has remained a staple in my daily routine for over a year. This SPF feels so light on the skin but gives a beautiful glow that looks great alone and underneath makeup.

10. Rare Beauty Positive Light Liquid Luminizer Highlight

Rare Beauty quickly rose to popularity this year, and this remains one of the best liquid highlighters I have ever used. It blends like a dream and diffuses nicely on top of makeup with no patchy spots.

11.  Method Bodywash Simply Nourish

I have been using this body wash for almost two years now and it will always be my go-to. I have tried others but keep going back to it. The scent lasts on my skin all day and mixes well with my other body care products to create a lovely, layered effect. This body wash doesn’t strip my skin or leave me feeling dry after I get out of the shower.

12.  Megababe Thigh Rescue Lotion Anti-Chafe Stick

This product is truly heaven-sent. Megababe’s Thigh Rescue has saved my thighs and other areas of my body that can rub and cause friction. I never leave the house without it. You can even apply it to places like where your bra straps or shoes may rub to avoid any friction burn there. It has many uses, and I promise you this is the best on the market.

13. Caudalie Vinosource-Hydra SOS Intense Hydration Moisturizer

Caudalie has really been the “it” skincare brand this year, and within good reason. This is the perfect winter moisturizer. It has a thick consistency that absorbs nicely into the skin without feeling greasy.

14.  Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint

Although I am a makeup artist and avid makeup lover, you may be shocked to find out that I hate wearing foundation. I despise how it feels on my skin, especially if I am wearing it for a long period of time. Eaze Drops by Fenty Beauty have changed the game. The super lightweight formula provides a “your skin but better” feel all while providing coverage and evening out your skin. It wears beautifully and doesn’t separate throughout the day.

15.  Dior Lip Glow Oil in Mahogany

Alright, I caved. I was so anti-Dior Lip Oil because I didn’t want to believe the hype and spend the money. But, let me tell you the hype is real—especially in this shade. The Dior Lip Glow Oil in Mahogany leaves my lips looking and feeling hydrated and glossy while giving a beautiful subtle pop of color.

16. Amika Autopilot 3-in-1 rotating curling iron

This past year I have been growing my hair out from the short and sleek bob that I have been rocking for about 3 years now. After finally reaching a good length, I started experimenting with curling my hair, which is something I never used to do. This Amika curling iron has made the learning process so easy and provides the most gorgeous beauty curls that last for days.

I could easily add more products to this list but then it would be far too long, so I had to narrow it down to just these few. If you have tried or would like to try out any of these products leave us a comment below!
