Reads For Romantics: Books to Read This Valentine's Day

“Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same” is one of those incredible quotes that just stuck with me after reading Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë for the first time. I pride myself on being quite the hopeless romantic, and I'm sure many people can relate to this feeling. With Valentine’s Day on the horizon, some of us bookworms are in the mood for love. In all honesty, all of my book boyfriends have been way better than any of my real ones—and I’m not mad about that.

Without further ado, here are some reads for all of our romantics out there. I must warn you, these won’t all be sunshine and butterflies, because sometimes, love simply sucks.

pride and Prejudice

I could easily forgive his pride, if he had not mortified mine
— Jane Austen

Let’s kick things off with a classic. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen is a novel that every romantic simply must-read. This classic love story is all about an independent young woman, Elizabeth Bennet, that meets the brute man that is Mr. Darcy. Throughout the novel, we see the two characters questioning and bending their morals under the influence of one another.
