The Bad Bunny X Jacquemus Spring Campaign We Didn’t Know We Needed

Reggaeton superstar Benito Antonia Martínez Ocasio, famously known as Bad Bunny, is the newest face of French fashion house Jacquemus’ spring campaign titled “Le Splash.” Jacquemus debuted the campaign with a set of photos on Instagram and let’s just say that this collaboration was a delightful surprise.

Lensed by Tom Kneller and Zoey Radford, Bad Bunny poses doing warm-weather activities like jet skiing and sitting poolside as the shoot was set in Miami, Florida—because it doesn’t get more summer than Miami Beach.

Bad Bunny wears the latest menswear and womenswear collections which connect with to the gender-fluid style he is known to embrace. With a pink mini linen dress and pastel blue mule heels, Bad Bunny takes his modeling to the next level.

Over the last few years, the musician has dominated the Latin music world with his new tour El Ultimo Tour De Mundo selling out in less than 24 hours. What draws fans to Bad Bunny is his unconventional style when it comes to the Latin music industry.

The reggaeton rapper has become a pioneer by breaking down gender norms that are traditionally strict in Latin culture. The musician is seen as the face of new wave Latin music, showcasing how music can be a creative outlet for Gen-Z and Millenials. Bad Bunny is unapologetically himself which inspires his fans and other viewers as Reggaeton-pop music takes over western culture.

With Bad Bunny’s vibrant and energetic style combined with the bright playfulness of Jacquemus, the campaign results in the perfect pairing. Bad Bunny is no stranger to the fashion industry, starring in Vogue’s Macarena video and modeling the season’s best bags for Vogue, so it was only a matter of time until a major fashion house like Jacquemus tapped the artist for a collaboration. Hopefully, this campaign will lead Bad Bunny to more possible opportunities and freedom in the fashion industry.
