Kicking off this list of true crime shows and movies, we have the story of one of the most notorious serial killers and cannibals, Jeffrey Dahmer. This recent release is a 10-episode mini-series about the gruesome life of Jeffrey Dahmer. Dahmer is played by American Horror Story star Evan Peters. This series delves into his childhood all the way up to the day he was murdered in jail.

Next on our list, we have the 2022 documentary Girl in the Picture. This true crime documentary follows the death of a young woman that was sexually abused and manipulated by her husband and father figure. The case went unsolved for many years and this film definitely takes you on all its twists and turns as the truth revealed itself.


American Murder: The Family Next Door (2022)

This next documentary is sure to give you a spook. American Murder: The Family Next Door is a film about the Watts family murders that occurred in 2018. Chris Watts was responsible for the death of his wife and children and the film contains raw footage from these events.


Conversations with a killer: The John Wayne Gacy Tapes (2022)

We are back at it with another one of America’s most famous serial killers, John Wayne Gacy. This three-episode docuseries follows the tape recordings from the Gacy case. The timeline spans from when John Wayne Gacy was convicted for the murder of Robert Piest, until the police uncovered that he killed over two dozen men.

If you don’t think you can commit to just one murderer, we’ve got you covered. Cold Case Files (2017) is a 9-episode docuseries that takes the audience through various long-standing cases. Each episode delves into a different homicide case.
