H&M Announces New Designer Collaboration With Mugler

This just in: fast-fashion giant H&M is releasing yet another designer collaboration for the spring 2023 season. After previous collections with Karl Lagerfeld, Jimmy Choo, Comme des Garçons, Maison Martin Margiela, and Marni, H&M is now teaming up with the house of Mugler for a sultry meets high-street collection.

H&M shared a press release announcing the news. “The Mugler H&M collection, crafted under the direction of Mugler’s creative director Casey Cadwallader, will encapsulate the unique and vibrant spirit of Mugler. The collection will be available online and in selected stores in the spring of 2023. H&M’s history of designer collaborations is legendary and pioneering.”

The press release also noted that more information is to come. Both brands have yet to share any mention of the upcoming collection on their social media accounts.

Fans of the Swedish label and Paris fashion house are already losing their minds around the collection. Since we do not have any knowledge of what the collection will look like, we can only anticipate that H&M will bring sexy-back (not in a denim-on-denim Justin Timberlake way). As far as price point, there is no question that the price tags will be well over $300 a piece as per H&M’s previous designer collaborations.

There are many skeptics that assume the collection will be nothing but a big fat Fashion Nova dupe with terrible quality and low-grade materials. It is safe to say that nothing is for certain, and since we have yet to garner a look at any of the pieces offered in the upcoming collection, only the future will tell if this will turn into another successful designer collaboration.
