A Powerful Partnership: Bella Hadid Is The New Face of Charlotte Tilbury
Supermodel Bella Hadid is now the face of Charlotte Tilbury Beauty. Charlotte Tilbury herself, announced on March 1st that Bella Hadid is her new “beauty muse”—let's be honest, Bella is everyone’s beauty muse.
2022 was an incredibly exciting year for the 26-year-old model. Last year, Hadid walked 35 runway shows in total. In addition, she was awarded “Model Of The Year” at The British Fashion Awards. While she has always been known in the modelling industry, 2022 amplified her name. The year shifted everyone’s view of her from a nepotist model to a supermodel.
Now 2023 is in full swing, and it’s clear that she will be just as successful as last year, if not more successful.
Bella Hadid has become the world’s new “It Girl.” From her unique sense of fashion to her humble and kind attitude, there is nothing to dislike about her. It is no lie that she is one of the most followed trendsetters.
Bella Hadid isn’t the only trendsetter in this partnership. Tilbury started her career in the 90s as a makeup artist before the launch of her brand. At age 11, Tilbury met Mary Greenwell, Princess Diana’s makeup artist. At age 18, Tilbury began working as Greenwell’s assistant. She often refers to Greenwell as a mentor and states she “opened my eyes to the makeup world.”
The British makeup artist has worked alongside numerous well-known brands such as Tom Ford, Armani, and Burberry as a leader in creative product development.
Charlotte Tilbury is accredited for many makeup trends on the runway. Cosmetics Magazine says, “Tilbury has made her name mastering the art of the smolder for runway shows, editorial shoots, and celebrity clients.”
Her role as a show makeup director for brands such as Prada, Miu Miu, Alexander McQueen, Cavalli, and Lanvin required her to work up to 40 shows per season. Moreover, she has worked on several editorial photo shoots—her artistry is showcased on over 100 Vogue covers alone.
Charlotte Tilbury Beauty was officially launched in September 2013. Tilbury used her experience and professional techniques to create one of the most successful makeup and skincare lines today.
The attributes that both influential and hard-working women possess make for a victorious partnership.
Hadid is equally as excited about this partnership as we are. She gushes about Tilbury to Harper's Bazaar in a recent interview. “She is somebody that for me is such a divine light: in how she works, how she connects with people, how she is on set, how she has built this incredible brand and business,” Hadid says. “I just feel lucky to be here and to be able to connect through art and spirituality, and love for fashion and makeup, and everything beautiful in life.”
Cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Julian De Silva, states that according to the Golden Ratio Equation—Phi, Bella Hadid is the most beautiful woman in the world. Therefore, we wouldn’t blame you if you wanted to look like Bella Hadid, and neither would Charlotte Tilbury.
On the Charlotte Tilbury website, you can now shop a list of items used to get two of Bella Hadid’s looks, “The Airbrush Flawless Look”, and “The Sultry Red Lip Look.” There is even a tutorial provided by Tilbury’s niece, Sofia Tilbury, on how to get the “The Sultry Red Lip Look.”
It’s so empowering to see such strong women working together, especially during Women’s History Month. It will be exciting to see the creativity that unfolds from this duo.
