First Leg: May 9 & 10

Real Madrid vs. Manchester City   (1-1)

Real Madrid and Manchester City will meet for the ninth time in European competition this match, with both sides winning three of their previous eight. Manchester City has won three of the last four meetings, but did lose the most recent—three to one—at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in last season's semi-final second leg.

It was immediately apparent that both sides were evenly matched in the game. Real Madrid had a solid start, keeping possession of the ball and setting the tempo of the game. This will be the fifth time that AC Milan and Internazionale Milan have faced each other in European competition, with AC Milan unbeaten across the previous four (W2 D2). They previously met at this stage of the UEFA Champions League in 2002-03, with Milan progressing to the final on away goals.

Internazionale went 2-0 up inside 11 minutes with 58% possession of the ball, while AC Milan had 42%. There were 3 yellow cards given from 30 fouls.

Second Leg: May 16 & 17

Inter Milan vs. AC Milan   1-0 (Inter Milan wins)

Internazionale have reached their sixth Europa Cup/UEFA Champions League Final, but only their second in the last 50 years, alongside 2009. 10 when they won the competition. Having progressed from nine of their first 10 European Cup/UEFA Champions League semi-final ties, Milan has since failed to reach the final in two of their last three semi-final appearances (also in 2005-06).

Manchester City vs. Real Madrid   4-0 (Manchester City wins)

Manchester City have reached the UEFA Champions League final for the second time, previously doing so in 2020-21. This was the joint biggest margin of victory in a single UEFA Champions League semi-final match, and Real Madrid's joint biggest defeat in any round of the competition (also 0-4 v Liverpool in March 2009).

Real Madrid has been eliminated from the UEFA Champions League at the semi-final stage for the eighth time, more than any other side. Just three of the previous seven to eliminate them at this stage have gone on to lift the trophy.
