Zara x Barbie: The Ultimate Barbiecore Summer Collaboration

It’s a Barbie world, and we’re all just living in it. Ahead of the highly anticipated release of the new Barbie film starring Margot Robbie as the title character and Ryan Gosling as Ken, fast fashion giant Zara has just released a new capsule collection that is absolutely perfect. With Barbiecore already making waves in the fashion industry this Summer, this new collection could not come at a better time.

Here is a closer look at some of the pieces in the collection.

From pink and white gingham prints to fun pink-tastic homeware, the new collection is everything and more. It might be cliche to purchase any of these items to see the movie in the theatre—but probably the best option, since there are so many pieces to choose from.

A gingham dress and Barbie “B” adorned hot pink heels are just two examples of the many pink items as part of the collection, as well as a metallic denim-esque halter vest. Denim is also present in the collection as part of a homage to Ken and the Western looks that are sported in the new film.

Accessory offerings include a wicker “B” handbag with pink straps, a giant “B” leather tote bag, a hot pink logo embellished water bottle, and multicolored pink clips. For all my neutral girlies out there, included in the collection are black quilted heels and a black and gold “B” embellished jumpsuit.

Also making an appearance in the collection is a swimsuit inspired by the original Barbie’s signature black and white striped swimsuit look, also worn by Margot Robbie in the upcoming movie. Although this piece is yet to be released, it is definitely one of the staple pieces in the collection to purchase.

To celebrate the launch of the collection even further, the Zara brand opened up two pop-up shops in Soho and on the Champs-Élysées in Paris. Random Studio has redecorated both spaces to encapsulate the magic and spectacle of Barbie’s dreamhouse. The stores feature life-sized sets similar to Barbie's universe in the movie, as well as projector screens showing scenes giving visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in Barbie's world. Themed fitting rooms are also available for the real Barbie dream house experience.

Both pop-up shops are running until July 30th, so if you are near any of the Zara locations and you want to get your Barbie on in hot pink fashion—visit the pop-up and shop the collection before the collection is sold out.
