‘Blokecore’ Crosses the Pond: Three Essentials to Recreate the Look
Now you might be wondering what a ‘bloke’ is, well I’ll tell you. But first we have to cross the pond to the United Kingdom for a proper definition. A ‘bloke’ is U.K. slang for a common man.
The trend was inspired by U.K. football fans in the 70s and 80s who would rock football attire on and off the field, which has led us to what we now call the ‘blokecore’ aesthetic. If you aren’t already partaking in it, here are three pieces you need for your ‘bloke’ or ‘blokette’ uniform.
The jersey
If you’ve found yourself sporting an Adidas soccer jersey, you’re already a third of the way there. This can be your favorite team’s jersey, or, if you're like me, it'll be whichever team has the cutest one. Pro tip: don’t be afraid to size up. The Bottoms
