Slushy Noobz: The Primetime Interview
I’m sure that you have heard of the YouTube channel Slushy Noobz. Hamzah and Martin are some of the funniest people on the internet right now, and more and more people are seeing that every month.
Recently, that fame has gone into mainstream media.

The two boys, Hamzah and Martin, have been doing influencer collabs since the start of their channel and post a video with another influencer about every month, but recently it hasn’t just been influencers.
It was speculated that the Noobz were going to be at Canada's underground rap festival, “First Class Fest”, as they did a video promoting the festival, but the fans didn't know what was to come. On August 31, a new episode of their podcast, Out of Character, was posted. The cover photo featured Xaviersobased alongside his manager and close friend DJ Rennessy.
Throughout the episode, they brought out other guests including 42CEO, BKtherula, Tezzus, PradaBagShawty, Emwill, Aldo and Dimond, all of whom are underground artists or are part of the underground community.
The boys have a presence in the underground world, having friendships with a few rappers (including some mentioned). But this was “groundbreaking,” as so many different kinds of artists and people in this community were brought forward.
Especially with this interview, many in the Slushy fan base were unsure of who these people were. This made for an amazing chance for the viewers to discover some new people. Hamzah and Martin can be so raw and real, acting like they are best friends with the celebrities that they are talking to.
It doesn't even feel like an interview—it feels like a bunch of friends hanging out.

The Noobz have also had a more “mainstream” interview recently.
On September 28th, an interview with Robert Pattinson and Skyler Gisondo was posted to the Slushy Noobz channel, promoting the new movie “Primetime.” This interview is still being discussed weeks afterwards, with many calling it a “hard watch.” Not for any openly negative reason, but the duo certainly pursued a more cringe style of content.
Hamzah and Martin were faking a British accent for most of the interview. This interview had much more of a professional setup, similar to an actual movie interview from Esquire or Variety. In my opinion, it is one of their best videos.
Robert and Skyler were so clueless about what was going on. They clearly didn’t know who their interviewers were, but still handled the strange interviewers as professionally as they could.
Some of the questions were very serious and actual interview questions, while others were definitely something else. Martin asked Pattinson about “Blue Fin Tuna,” which is the code name for the movie. He followed his question with "Do you like tuna?”
Pattinson ran with the "do you like tuna” question, and told a story about him and a stinky tuna incident on a past movie set. The entire interaction was hilarious, and you could see Gisondo silently breaking into laughter throughout the interview.
The cherry on top of the whole interview was what Hamzah and Martin were wearing: the iconic “will you wear wigs” outfits. These outfits are known from a prank interview done on Elijah Wood by Dominic Monaghan. That prank interview is one of the most iconic of all time; however, Hamzah and Martin’s prank on Pattinson and Gisondo will definitely stand the test of time.
