5 Ways to Incorporate Pumpkin in Your Skincare Routine

When you think of pumpkins, does skincare come to mind?

Most likely, no one associates those two things together. However, pumpkin is extremely beneficial for our skin and can be utilized in multiple ways. With its high content of vitamins and carotenoids, pumpkin is great for brightening, spot lightening, and protecting the skin. So, here is a list that we have created to highlight some products and DIY methods to incorporate pumpkin into your skincare routine!

 Pumpkin Under Eye Mask

To start things off, this home remedy is a simple and effective way to reduce any fine lines or darkness under the eyes.

 Ingredients:

After mixing the ingredients in a bowl, saturate two cotton pads in the mixture. On a clean, dry face, apply pads under the eyes. Keep the pads on for around 15-20 minutes before removing and rinsing your face with warm water. Finish the treatment off with your favorite moisturizer or eye cream.

 Pumpkin Glow Mask

With the seasons changing, our skin can get a bit dry and dull. This brightening face mask is a great way to bring some life back into your skin without having to break the bank for a facial.

Ingredients:

Mix all of the ingredients into a bowl and apply to a clean, dry face using a brush or clean hands. If you use toner in your usual skin routine, apply that before the mask. Leave the mask on for about 15-20 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water. To lock it in, apply your favorite moisturizer after rinsing.

Pumpkin Clay Mask

This mask combines the benefits of Bentonite clay, pumpkin, and honey to give you the most glowy, clean skin possible. While the clay sucks all of the toxins and oils out of your face, the pumpkin and honey provide moisture and vitamins for the perfectly balanced mask.

Ingredients:

In a bowl, mix the pumpkin puree and Bentonite clay together, slowly adding the vitamin E oil and honey while mixing. Apply generously all over your face using a brush or your clean hands. Keep the mask on for around 10-15 minutes if you have sensitive skin, or 25-30 minutes if you do not. Rinse if off thoroughly with warm water and pat your skin dry. Finish everything up by applying your moisturizer of choice. This mask is strong, so we recommend using a water based moisturizer to bring as much moisture into the skin as possible.
