4 Street Style Trends for Spring 2022

This year's street style trends are all about making a statement while still being minimal. With the arrival of spring, we're starting to see more diverse clothing and accessories in people's day-to-day outfits—not to mention the outburst of bold colors. Let’s check out what is trending on the streets this spring!

Pink Coats

The temperature in New York hasn’t spiked just yet, so photographers such as @watchingnewyork are still spotting people in the streets wearing heavy coats— and they’re not just any coats. These funky jackets are in every shade of pink imaginable. We certainly can't complain.

All Black everything

The all-black look resurfaces as a trend every few years. It’s considered that the classic color "holds a wide range of meanings," as explained by Wendy Wu's curator, Andrew Bolton, for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute. This season, many people have been seen sporting the black monochromatic look while walking through the city.

Power Suits

On the streets of New York, people are showing off their personal interpretation of the power suit. With the weather changing daily, anything is possible with a blazer and some confidence. The power suit has taken on many meanings with the expression of personal style.

Mini Bags

While some opt for more practical bags, one of the accessories that has been trending since last season are mini bags. Many designer brands are selling different styles of micro-bags, such as the Hermès Kelly 20 Mini and the Telfar Small Shopping Bag. This minimalistic trend is great to tone down a more outrageous outfit and even serves to complement a classic one as well.

This season's streetwear is filled with vibrant colors that have a minimalistic twist. The fashion industry is opening up to new styles while still keeping the classics such as all-black outfits. We're looking forward to seeing what the next season of street style entails.
