The Beauty Rituals of The Divine Feminine
Source: Illumi Jewel
Before beauty set standards, labels in society, it was a sacred, devoted practice. Women anointed their skin in oil not to be seen, but to feel. Jasmine and rose healed into pulse points. Hair brushed slowly, strand by strand. Milk and honey were poured into warm water like an offering.
The body was not something to discipline; it was something to honor with care we have long since forgotten.
The return of holistic body oils, intentional self-care practice, and candlelit baths isn’t just aesthetic nostalgia. It is a quiet reclaiming of the body as a sacred and divine space.

The Divine Feminine isn’t softness for others; it is softness for yourself. The Divine Feminine radiates an alluring energy. You or others may notice it, but most importantly, you will feel it. It is allowing your body to be experienced, not optimized. Tapping back into your Divine Feminine energy is about pouring back into yourself and reworking small rituals that are often looked over.
The Art of Body Oil:
Across ancient traditions, oil symbolizes blessing, protection, and initiation. Body oil not only makes your skin silky soft, but it can also translate into one of your own divine rituals.
My favorite body oil I use is homemade, and here is how to make it yourself as well.
Editor’s Body Oil Recipe:
shea and/or cocoa butter
olive oil
essential oil of choice (Patchouli and Ylang Ylang are my favorites)
dried jasmine
rose petals
castor and/or almond oil
You can tweak the ingredients based on preference; this is my own personal liking. If you are more spiritual, there are also ways to invest your own energy into the oil: cleanse the bottle with incense or sage, and speak into it whilst making affirmations (intentions for use, how you want the oil to make you feel, or what you’d like it to bring through manifestation).
Use a body oil bottle to combine everything and mix. This part isn’t complicated. My favorite oil bottle set comes from Amazon.
Oil as a Divine Practice

When using this oil, it should be a divine practice, not just moisturizing your skin after the shower. The entire idea of elevating your Divine Feminine Energy is making everything intentional. It should be applied slowly, enjoying the aromas, feeling it being massaged into your skin, and using it as a time to combine all senses to flow through your body. This is an act of respect and care, not something you rush or skip over!
The revival of Divine Feminine implementation reflects a desire to feel embodied again in a digital age. Sensual self-care can be healing for anyone who has felt disconnected from their bodies. There is a powerful difference between performing Divine Femininity versus inhabiting it. Feeling it internally is more compelling and sanctified than just focusing on the outward perception.
