Together, Together Is a Celebration of Women
Last night I had the pleasure of experiencing Harry Styles at Madison Square Garden. The show deserves every bit of praise. It was a celebration for yearning, for the bisexual man, and for women. I know I’m going to have a good time at an event when the men's bathroom is rebranded as another women's bathroom. Watching this was like watching true art come together: the most famous venue in the world, filled with screaming women and a man in sparkles singing about how much he “Adores” them.
Harry’s band for this preformance was mostly made of women: a woman on the trumpet, saxophone, and drums. One of his most anticipated songs—“Sweet Creature” was sung only by his backup singers, two beautiful women singing in harmony the whole time. The first song ended with screams of “respect your mother.”

I often remember that Harry Styles dated Kendall Jenner for 7 years and is now engaged to objectively the most beautiful woman on earth. I’m back to remembering how important it is that we not only honor but obsess over this woman-loving, bisexual man. He flaunts in sparkles, speaks softly, and loves women loudly. This is what women in our society have found that is all they want. Harry Styles not only celebrates women, but we celebrate him. We celebrate him for his sensitivity, style, and lack of insanity over 16 years of being one of societies most loved men.
I was just watching the Gaga Episode of Glee, and I noticed an unordinary, uncanny similarity between Finn and Harry.
Finn in his Gaga outfit from the back is Harry Styles in any of his pointed shoulder outfits. For context, Finn is the star football player turned Glee club phenom. All the girls like him, and so does the one gay boy (context it’s 2009). His Gaga debut followed the episode where he addresses the gay boy has a crush on him. He doesn't reciprocate the crush, but we see him have empathy for him and eventually stand up for the gay boy in the next episode.
A bisexual man is the best thing you could be in this life. It really does feel like a hack because you get to be on everyone's side (in this patriarchal society). I find it so interesting too that we do absolutely praise bisexual men, as I'm doing right now, simply because it seems like they’re in tune with their emotions and seem to respect women.
Nevertheless, I felt celebrated by Harry Styles and that's not something one man in a stadium of women can do easily.
