Let’s be honest, when I picture someone wearing a watch, I’m picturing a finance guy glancing at his wrist to see if he still has enough time to pick up his Cava order for lunch. Lame.
Also, this might just be a personal problem, but I can’t tell analog time to save my life. If I want to make it in this world as a functioning adult, I better start learning now. And what better incentive than having a super cute and fun watch to practice with!
Watches have become way too serious. What happened to the small character themed ones we all had as a kid? Now those were watches. They were also super school-friendly, which honestly still holds up today even in college. No phones during class time? That’s fine, Minnie Mouse here will let me know exactly when I can start packing up my things.

In Shanghai, they have a residency program at the Swatch Art Peace Hotel, “a space that brings together diverse artists and encourages creation, collaboration and connection.” Launched 15 years ago, the Art Peace Hotel continues to be a place where all creative minds, no matter their style, can come together and bring their visions come to life. In celebration of their 15-year anniversary, they have launched a capsule collection featuring the watches of six residents who completed the program.

Is a watch revival in the cards for 2026? I hope so. Bringing fun back into accessorizing is something I’m very passionate about, and I think colorful, vivid watches like the ones Swatch provides for us are the perfect addition to anyone’s wardrobe.
