Sounds of The Prism: Playlists to Celebrate Pride

You know what time of year it is. It’s getting hot, and this month, we’re celebrating Pride 2021. With parties, events, and the NYC pride festival scheduled for June 27th, we’re going to need some music. Cue Troy Sivan, Shygirl, and everyone in between. This party playlist is upbeat and will get your blood pumping. Whether you’re getting ready to go out or you’re already on the dance floor with the besties, this playlist is perfect for you. There is a mix of pop, house, EDM, and even some rock, so let your freak flag fly and jam out.

Party playlist: “Into the Prism”

Honoring LGBTQ+ artists should be an everyday thing. We all need some chill music to get our mornings started and sometimes get through the day. The playlist below honors some great LGBTQ+ artists and sets the tone for a chiller vibe. Expect to hear some lovely vocals from Kehlani, beats from Blood Orange, and more artists you may have never listened to. Of course, Frank Ocean will start us off with “Chanel,” and the playlist ends with Girl In Red’s “Bad Idea.” We all get those, but it’s never a bad idea to try some new music and to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and the talented artists a part of it.

Chill Playlist: “Band Of Color”

Happy pride everyone. Stay safe and vibe out.
